The Great Chamber is located in its own exclusive private wing in the 16th century Hall and is available as an extra luxury bedroom suite for groups renting three or four properties who wish to increase their accommodation to a maximum of 22 guests or those taking the Gatehouse wishing to be a group of 6.

The Great Chamber is a magnificent historic bedroom that forms part of the old 14th century Great hall and boasts a huge dark blue velvet half-tester bed with velvet from Rubelli of Venice. The huge bedroom is decorated with specially commissioned wallpaper from Watts of Westminster, a velvet headboard depicting medieval hunting scenes by artisan Melissa White and murals by the Jerwood Prize winning artist Adam Dant.

The room features original oak furniture from the Cressett family collection as well as luxurious bolster velvet cushions and armchair and a neo-Elizabethan writing desk. This unique bedroom has hosted royalty and is featured in many architectural books being an acclaimed example of Elizabethan vernacular architecture. The suite has its own sink and bath in the bedroom and an extra private bathroom with WC located down a few stairs close to the entrance door.
