Upton Cressett offers luxurious accommodation and dining options for family parties, reunions or special occasions – from landmark birthdays to anniversary celebrations.  We have a variety of options ranging from groups of 8-14.

We offer four self-contained properties within a minute’s walk of each other that can accommodate up to 14 guests, including the magnificent Great Chamber Suite private wing of the Hall.  We can also accommodate smaller parties of 8 or 12 by booking The Gatehouse and The Moat House together.

Any group taking the three properties together (Gatehouse, Moat House and Coach House) can also increase their party to 14 guests by taking The Great Chamber private wing of the Hall which sleeps two in the magnificent Great Hall bedroom.

Upton Cressett is a rare luxury historic property in that guests can enjoy self-contained accommodation with their own kitchens and living rooms without being “on top of each other”. There is also a separate TV Cinema/Games Room with a Bar/Fridge that can be enjoyed by all guests.


Children and elderly guests for groups

Both The Coach House and The Moat House are lateral conversions and are well suited to children and elderly guests as there are no stairs. An extra camp bed can be provided for each property for children under 12 for a flat fee of £25.  The Coach House is best suited for younger infants/nannies as a camp bed or travel cot can be placed in the Master Bedroom.

The Gatehouse has an oak staircase with bannister rope and the Great Chamber private wing is easily accessed on the first floor up the main oak staircase.

Group bookings can be made a year in advance. All prices are all inclusive. We are not VAT registered.

Please note that there is a 20 % premium for Christmas, New Years, Easter and Bank Holiday weekends.

Family Celebration or Special Country House Party

Up to 14 guests in all available rooms (7 bedrooms) *We are able to offer the exquisite Great Chamber bedroom in the Hall with the beautiful half tester Rubelli midnight blue velvet and gold applique bed for an additional couple for guests who have booked all three properties only.

Individual Property Mini-breaks

Our three properties, all within a minute’s walk, are perfect for luxury mini-breaks and can only be booked 60 days prior to arrival. All guests receive a welcome hamper of local produce. Catered private dinners are available for a minimum of four, maximum ten in the Gatehouse dining room, see fine dining. Larger dinners can be catered in the Great Hall Dining Room.

Welcome Hampers

All guests are provided with our standard hamper which includes:  box of eggs, pint of milk, butter, marmalade, loaf of bread and fresh fruit.

Instant coffee and tea are provided free of charge in all the property kitchens.

We also offer a luxury Shropshire hamper which allows guests to enjoy some of the best local produce from the Bridgnorth market and hand-chosen suppliers: home made Victoria sponge, two pints of milk, fresh orange juice, freshly baked bread, butter, marmalade,  free range eggs, smoked bacon and sausages from the local butcher, natural yogurt, fresh fruit, luxury granola, fresh orange juice, ground coffee and Shrewsbury biscuits  – £50 .

Please note all meals have to be paid for and booked no less than one week in advance of arrival to allow us time to shop, cook and prepare.

Maid Service

If you require a maid service during your stay this can be arranged at a service charge of £25 per day (note this is not a change of linen). For guests staying more than 7 nights a complimentary maid service is done of the 8th day of your stay with a change of linen.

Your accommodation at Upton Cressett will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.

If you would like to arrive any earlier please contact us. We do ask that you get in touch by telephone or email a few days in advance to provide your approximate arrival time so that we can come over to greet you.
